What if there's an emergency? – Rover Help Centre

If you have any doubts about the health and safety of the animal you are taking care of, contact the owner. If you are unable to contact the owner of the animal, contact the owner's vet or the nearest open vet as soon as possible.

We hope it never happens on your watch, but should an emergency arise—such as an injured, sick, or lost dog—call Rover's Trust & Safety team at +32 2 893 0481 to report it immediately so we can help resolve it as quickly as possible. Please leave a voicemail, and our Trust & Safety team will contact you as soon as possible.

Our business hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm.

For emergencies outside of business hours (including Sundays), support is provided in English only. Messages received in other languages will be addressed the following business day.

Tip: Whether you’re a pet owner or a sitter, you can help prevent some situations from becoming emergencies by having on hand the most up-to-date records of your pet’s or the pet owner pet's medical history, immunizations, diet, and special needs. Your Meet & Greet before the booking is a good time to discuss this information.
